General
The Winter Light Experience starts at The Belfry Hotel & Resort (postcode B76 9PR) and takes you on a walking trail of just over a mile around part of the Brabazon golf course.
Coming to the Midlands this winter, prepare for a magical experience never seen before. Taking place at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, Winter Light Experience is an independently operated event.
The Winter Light Experience is designed for everyone to enjoy, from families and children to couples, friends and groups looking for a festive winter evening out.
Yes. Free event parking is available and will be clearly signposted from the surrounding road network. Please follow the event signage and any directions from our parking team on arrival.
Yes. The welcome courtyard, located before the ticketed entrance, will offer a selection of food and drink. We recommend arriving around 30 minutes before your booked entry time if you would like to enjoy the courtyard before starting the trail. Food and drink will also be available part way around the trail and in the courtyard when you return.
Dogs are welcome on selected dog-friendly nights: 3, 9, 15, 21 and 28 December. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times, with a maximum of two dogs per adult. Guide and assistance dogs are welcome on all dates.
The Winter Light Experience takes place outdoors during the winter, so please dress appropriately for cold and potentially wet weather. Warm clothing and sturdy, comfortable footwear are strongly recommended.
The trail is just over a mile long and takes approximately 60–90 minutes to complete, depending on your pace and how long you spend enjoying the installations.
Absolutely! Amateur photography is encouraged, so bring your camera or phone and capture your favourite moments along the trail. Please be considerate of other guests and avoid obstructing the trail. Professional photography, commercial photography, filming or photography using additional equipment is not permitted without prior approval.
Please arrive within your booked entry time. Entry is managed in timed slots to help us operate the experience safely and smoothly. If you arrive outside your allocated time, we cannot guarantee admission.
No. Once you have entered the trail, re-entry is not permitted.

Tickets
We offer Family (2 adults and 2 children), Adult (16+), Child (3–15) and Under 3 (0–2).
Your e-tickets will be included with your booking confirmation. You can display your ticket on your phone, add it to your mobile wallet where available, or print it. Please ensure the QR code is clearly visible when you arrive for scanning.
Bookings can only be amended where Ticket Protection has been purchased for the relevant ticket. If you have purchased Ticket Protection, please email bookings@winterlightexperience.co.uk at least 24 hours before your booked entry time. Amendments are subject to availability and the terms of the Ticket Protection scheme.
No. Tickets must be booked online in advance. There will be no general admission tickets available to purchase on arrival.

Accessibility
Yes. The trail is accessible to wheelchair, mobility scooter and pushchair users. The route is over a mile long and includes some slopes, ramps and areas of uneven terrain. Manual wheelchair users should take this into consideration when planning their visit.
Yes. If you require a carer to accompany you, please book your own ticket as normal and email bookings@winterlightexperience.co.uk with your booking confirmation and appropriate supporting documentation. Our team will then amend your booking where applicable. Please note that we are unable to refund a ticket purchased for a carer if a ticket for them has been purchased unnecessarily.
Sensory Sessions are designed for guests who may prefer a more relaxed experience. During these sessions, flashing and strobing effects are reduced or switched off, music and sound levels are lowered, and visitor capacity is reduced.
Yes. A limited number of Blue Badge parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If these spaces are full, our parking team will assist with drop-off arrangements where possible.
Food, drink and facilities
Yes. Food and drink will be available in the welcome courtyard at the beginning and end of the experience, as well as at a refreshment point part way around the trail. There will be a selection of sweet and savoury food, alongside hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
No. Outside food and drink, including alcohol, cannot be brought into the Winter Light Experience unless there are medical or dietary reasons.
Yes. Toilets are available at the venue and at facilities located part way around the trail.
There are baby changing facilities by Sam's Restaurant in the main building.
The heated winter cabin provides a private, sheltered space for up to eight guests around a table, with heating to keep you warm. Located close to the food and drink area, it is an ideal space to relax and enjoy time with friends and family before or after your experience. Further details and booking information will be announced soon.
Absolutely! Part way around the trail, you can enjoy giant marshmallows toasted over a firepit, whilst indulging with hot chocolate or perhaps a mulled wine.
Weather and cancellations
Yes. The Winter Light Experience takes place outdoors and will generally go ahead whatever the weather. Please check the forecast before your visit and dress appropriately for winter conditions, including rain, cold and wind.
The safety of our guests, staff and performers is our priority. In exceptional circumstances, such as severe weather or unsafe ground conditions, we may need to delay, suspend or cancel the experience. If we need to cancel your session, we will contact you using the details provided with your booking, where you will be offered an opportunity to rebook or get a refund.
Tickets are non-refundable if you choose not to attend due to weather conditions. The experience operates in normal winter weather, so please come prepared for the conditions on the day.
